Some real bad defensive play by St. FX the last couple nights...last two goals by UNB last night + another two tonight by Moncton off brutal turnovers.

SMU/X and X/Acadia next weekend to determine 3rd through 5th place. Not sure about any tie-breakers though...

Things are tightening mid pack. SMU can finish 3rd or 4th, SFX can finish 3rd, 4th or 5th and ACA can finish 4th or 5th.

SFX has the tie breaker on SMU, SMU on ACA and ACA on SFX.

SMU gets a break after playing DAL Wed night but ACA and SFX are back-to-back Fri/Sat with SFX @ SMU and ACA and ACA home to DAL and SFX.

Several combinations/permutations including OT/SO wins, so I'm not going there.

Another box score mix up??

ACA/UPEI shows ACA 0 for 2 on the PP and UPEI 0 for 0.

ACA had 4 minutes and UPEI 6 minutes. Both teams had 2 coincidental calls, leaving just 1 UPEI penalty as a PP.

Wrong input again. GIGO.

Yeah, just watched it online and I agree, lots more punches thrown in the dust up before that one than in the "fight".

So does mine having used it for the past 20 years. This isn't a presto issue though, it's an issue with whoever was punching in the stats. There is a very simple way of inserting a 10-minute misconduct in Presto, and they didn't do it there.

This is my exactly my issue with Presto, the operator shouldn't have multiple ways to enter a 10 and have to know the jimmy-rig correct way to enter the misconduct. Presto would also probably mysteriously assign a PP chance to those misconduct as well hahaha.

Tons of parity in the women’s league . 14 points separate 1st from 7th.

6 teams above 500.

Tie for last playoff spot and first place heading into final weekend.

Haven’t gotten to any games this year but plan to go during the playoffs.

8 teams and that level of parity would be lovely to have in the men’s league but that’s just wishful thinking at this point lol.

I think the most parity we have saw in the men’s conference was 2004-05….14 points (and only 6 wins) separating all eight teams, including only six points separating the six playoff teams. No one scored or allowed more than 99 goals.

With the exception of Mount Allison who are the leagues bottom feeder for years now.

Looks like Acadia vs STFX on Saturday could determine home ice advantage in the first round.

Maybe. If SMU loses to DAL and SFX wins at SMU then Saturday with ACA is meaningless.

FYI , for those of us in New Brunswick who have to wait on playoff hockey , Beausejour League is down to final 4 teams , 20 ex CIS players on those remaining teams by my count, plus PA Parentau and Patrice Cormier
Going to try and get to Miramichi… Moncton finishing second two years in a row has cost me going down to watch first round games lol.

I've been following the league a bit more this year, have a bunch of friends playing on all teams, and two of our coaches. It's been good hockey and not a lot of fights as opposed to other years.

Holy shit , a second AUS team in the top 10!

For only the 4th time this season. Happened only once last season (SMU was #7 in week 1 for their only showing). It's a rare occurrence in the new 'computed' solution.

I wish they would bring back the committee. From Week 11 to 12, USask jumped from 7th (1705.05) to 2nd (1753.13) on the strength of two wins over Alberta, but both games were at home and these two teams are 1-2 in CW-East and Alberta remains first . Sure, get a bump but that's a crazy jump for games they should have won or been competitive in.

Concordia lost a single-game weekend match to Lakehead and dropped almost the same amount USask gained?

The amount of movement/volatility is nuts

SMU over STFX 11-5. Didn't watch it but the box score is pretty wild. The Huskies with three shorthanded goals. Two on the same powerplay. An X player picked up a fighting major.
Must be the highest scoring game of the season.

Dorian Laganiere gets the win in goal for Moncton tonight at UPEI. This is the first I've read about him. Is there an injury to one of the two starters?

Gentile with four points tonight…might’ve wrapped up the scoring title. X-Men were missing Burroughs and Woolley and submitted a defensive performance they will want to soon forget…three SHG against (including two in twenty seconds) and more odd-man rushes than I could count.

Moncton with another win. Their 3rd string goalie Dorian Laganiere stops 30 out of 31 shots in only his second game in four years.

I hope UNB gives Somers the start on Saturday. He’s played well when called upon and will likely be the last chance he has to dress let alone play an AUS game , nothing to lose at this point .
Plus it’s a reasonable drive to make for the family to come see him , I sat by his cheering section last time they were in Moncton and they were having a good time.
