Crosby did some crazy shit in his day. I wish I could find the clip, but sadly after searching for a while I couldn't find it. However I clearly remember in a regular season game the year after the Red Wings beat the Penguins for the cup. Crosby lost it after they lost to the wings again in regular season and started cross checking Zetterberg in the head as the time expired. I thought at the time it would be a suspension, or at least a fine, but nothing came out of it. Zetterberg didn't miss any time, so I'm sure that was a factor.
I hope this isn't what you are talking about, because there is a very clear distinction between what McDavid did and what Crosby does.

Is it just me or has Saros had a lot of shit games this season?

I think there is some truth in this. Did a quick count and he has peen pulled at least 3 times and 16 games (out of 36) with sub .900. Overall he is just .902 Last season he had .906 so not great either.

That has to be the moment I was thinking of, but I guess my mind is pretty far gone. I remembered it pretty differently  . Crosby keeps the checks low and doesn't get high at all, like McDavid did. Very different.

Different era too. I recall (although sometimes my delusions aren't reality) shea weber grabbed Zetterberg by the back of the head and slammed his head against the stanchion. No suspension.

Lol. Come on, SEPH. This is about as bad of a take as Crosby being a locker room cancer.
Nah, not a bad take. I am more surprised how you don't think that isn't an average play in the playoffs. Oh, it's one trillion percent a holding pen, but refs swallow whistles on plays like that in the postseason. You gotta fight your way through it.

I promise you they don't lol. He literally tackled him and ensured he wouldn't get up for 10 seconds.

Even in the bush league playoffs that gets called every time.
