What about his former superstar teammate, Patrick Kane. Do you like him?

:sarcasm:
The fact that I don't think Toews is that great a player kinda lends itself to a further admiration of Kane's on-ice talents. One of the only times a team built a powerhouse multi-Cup winner whose best player was NOT the center.

Kane and Toews were both legit, but those Chicago teams were just deep af
Toews, Kane, Duncan, etc. Yeah, those teams were stacked AF (though they continually got away with no real 2C, unless you count Bolland). Not to say Toews sucked, he obviously didn't, I just don't think he's worth the hype like those other guys are. And for obvious reasons I don't think anyone on that 2010 team is worth an ounce of spit at the dentist's office.

Their best player was a defenceman

Keith and Seabrook.playung over 30.mins was the biggest reason they won.
Not really gonna belabor this point because it ain't like Keith was a scrub (very talented but also dirty AF and a horrid human to boot) but it's just my opinion that Kane was the straw that stirred that drink. Regardless the less we talk about those Hawks teams, the better. I sincerely regret even bringing up Jonathan Toews' name. He should remain forgotten while he's pulling an Ace Ventura.

What on earth does that ref stood next to them think is happening? At what level of hockey is is acceptable to let two guys lie on the ice wrapped around each other?

I assume after this game Rangers will be in complete meltdown
I'm really hoping so.

I've never really studied Laviolette's defensive systems, but something Kern and Hahn said on the radio today implied that other teams have figured his M2M scheme out and they're exploiting it to its fullest. To me it seems more like they have a lot of defensively-inept players, especially Trouba, who is like a poor-man's Darius Kasparaitis at this point.

I hope Shestyorkin forces their hand one way or another. I don't blame him one bit either. If I were him I'd be saying "If you're going to do the same thing you did to Lundqvist, you're either gonna pay me or trade me somewhere else."

Ranks right up there with Sakic’s breakaway goal in the 2002 Gold medal game as my favourite international goal ever. Sakic’s first, Crosby’s second.

Favourite hockey goal ever was Uwe Krupp in triple overtime for the first Cup win. I was 11 years old and absolutely lost my mind.

Second is Sakic’s “fakes it, takes it, scores” goal on Brodeur in game 7 of the second Cup win to make the score 3-0 and give us some breathing room.
What? No Duchene's 30th goal?? :sarcasm:
