He got fired 5 days ago and today they announced a 5 year contract with him. The probably offered him the job the same day he got fired.

It's a tiny sample but Askarov had a .935 SV% in his first game with SJ...he now has .921 SV% combined for his first 4 NHL games

Yes and it's true. As we've seen with Mbappe forcing himself to move everywhere, he is a cancer, Crosby is also a cancer. Your teammates having to defend his actions of constantly diving all over the bloody place will wear thin in the lockerroom, causing him to be a cancer. Hard pass on him, his team got effed by Utah fam. Utah! This isn't the Panthers, his leadership is worthless too when you lose rubbish ways like that.
