Sheesh. Hate to see the legs start to buckle like that, looked like after that second punch Podkolzin kept good hold of Lauzon's jersey to keep his head from slapping the ice as he went down.
Not sure how much consolation that will bring Lauzon but I thought it was cool to see.
Did my Achilles about 10 weeks ago.... after watching Deshaun Watson and now this i'm getting PTBS.

I find this hilarious. Dude requested a trade with zero merit in this league. No sympathy. Now the fans are gonna turn on him because he’s created these expectations with his whining and demands. Philly fans like Crosby more than him!

I have zero sympathy for kids that ask for a trade before playing their ELC, let alone asking for a trade before playing their first NHL game.
People have been waiting for this a year or two already, finally it's happening.

I don't know the reason why Gauthier specifically did not want to play for the Flyers but he's well within his rights to not sign with the team that drafted him. Flyers fans need to get the f*** over themselves and move on.
So a rookie is having a rough time, doesn't mean he's worthless or he's a diva, he's just not ready for the NHL yet. Anaheim's a pretty awful team still, so he gets no help there.

The most ironic part is that Gauthier really isn't struggling all that badly. Kid has 4 points in his last 5 games, looking more and more comfortable as time goes on, and has some of the best analytics on the Ducks. Gauthier leads the Ducks in xGF% at 52 (only other player above 50 is Killorn). His actual GF% is 4th on the team, but 2nd compared to those that have played every game. He's a little snakebit and he makes some mistakes... but he actually looks pretty good. He doesn't flash as much as Carlsson there, but I honestly think Gauthier looks like the best player for them consistently and better than Carlsson.
I get that I watch way too much hockey, but some of this piling on rookies happens when people are purely stat watching and not taking in these games... or just finding a reason to hate on a kid. In Gauthier's case, it is hate.
I know this won't happen, but I want zero Avs to take part in the 4 nations.

It’s probably going to come down to if the coaches think he can be a 4th line defensive guy. Which I think he clearly can, but his lack of physicality will hurt.
