I don't really consider Five Guys as fast food. There is no drive thru, you have to park and go inside to order, and it takes several minutes to get your food after you order.

Their burgers and fries are the bomb, though. Worth it to go in and get it. But to me, they are more liken to a SmashBurger, or Red Robin
I definitely agree that Five Blokes fries are some of the best like ever, especially with Cajun seasoning on it. With that said, I still think Cherry Cricket has the best fries I've had though. It's like Five Blokes, but with more crisp.
You guys need fries at 5 guys? I find that 1200 calorie cheeseburger to be enough for a meal.
That's why you get a small cheeseburger and small fries because that is a medium to even large for the rest of the world lol.

Will Smith with 0 points in his first 8 NHL games.

At what point do the Sharks consider sending him down to the AHL? He is playing on the 3rd line between Goodrow and Kunin. Even Ritchie was able to pot a goal before Smith.

Watching Sharks/Kings... We need these type of awesome fans who go to a Tuesday night game to cheer on their hapless franchise when we're getting our shit pushed in by Chicago fans every single time they come through Denver. Man that shit pisses me off.

Rob Blake sucks ass as a GM

Completely rushed the Kings rebuild. Had multiple long-term pieces and traded them for immediate help. Now the team is stuck in no man's land.

I was going to post about this, too. I was kind of excited to watch the Sharks play this year with a bunch of young talent. While they may not be good, at least they might be fun to watch. Then Celebrini got hurt and it looks like Smith is off to a terrible start. The team is just a terrible as it was last year.

Has anyone watched Smith play? Is he just overwhelmed out there?

I wouldn't say Smith has looked good, but he's also not looked as bad as the points stat would indicate. He's between two guys who may not hold up in a 4th line role on good teams, and the results are as expected there. Their on-ice shooting percentage is something like 3% despite actually having good offensive metrics. I don't think it is of huge concern right now.

On Newhook... he's disaster defensively and not producing offensively. Not exactly shocking people are getting testy. He's really struggling to get any space and in the NHL that is key for smaller frame players. They would do a lot of good for Newhook, but moving him to wing and making him the 2nd or ideally the 3rd best player on the line. I get Dach is not a great center either, but Newhook just doesn't have the goods at the position either. Forcing it won't help.

Little late to the discussion but I am very surprised Harvey's hasn't been mentioned yet for best burger in Canada. That has been my favorite for a long, long time.

Back to regular programming.........

I felt/feel similarly, though I think it was Henchy who pointed out that Blake has had constraints put on him from the get-go because he wasn't allowed to do a full teardown. On top of that, there was that offseason where Drew Doughty very publicly told Blake to hurry the f*** up and get the "rebuild" finished, which led to his more aggressive moves that almost all backfired. Doesn't excuse all his mistakes but he was definitely put in a position to fail.

It's funny, you see a GM like Doug Armstrong in 2018-19 who somehow got every single gamble of his to work out. To a lesser degree that's kind of what's happening with MacLellan in Washington (ironically and not surprisingly, Pierre-Luc Dubois has just been 'meh' for the Caps so far). With Blake, NONE of his gambles have worked out. Not a single, solitary one. Doesn't help they struck out badly in drafting a franchise center not once, but twice. And I can't even begrudge them their picks, both Byfield and Turcotte were very highly-touted prospects going into the draft. Byfield is already a legit impact forward but it doesn't appear that he'll be the superstar center L.A. needs.

I feel like a bit of apathy has set in with the Avalanche fanbase. It was inevitable but I don't think any of us were overly excited about this season given how uneventful the offseason was.

Getting the Cajun fries with the double patty bacon cheeseburger with hot sauce slathered all over it is not for the weak of colon. Sometimes a big milkshake is needed to just put the fire in your guts out.

On top of that you ingest about a pound of salted peanuts waiting for your meal.

Dude Rempe is going to be braindead by the time he's 28. He's fighting like every game lol.
In all seriousness he's headed straight to the same early grave that claimed Derek Boogaard.

After losing Boogaard. Rick Rypien, and Wade Belak in an extraordinarily short span of time, people appeared to finally stop being idiots about goons and the horrible price they pay later in life. But it appears they conveniently forgot about that and we're going to witness it again.

Yeah no kidding. I don't know if anyone's pushing him to be this brazen or if it's all internally motivated (probably a mix of both) but man oh man, someone needs to step in and tell him to lay off it. I can't think of a player that I have seen more fight clips of in the last 2 seasons than this kid and he's only 22. Heck, I have seen more clips of his fights even if you take a 5 year sample size and he's only in his 2nd season. Crazy stuff.

Rempe isn't a NHLer without his fists. Him being as willing to fight as he is literally 700k in earnings for him this year, and next summer, the difference in him getting a 1 way vs 2 way contract. Whether it is good or not, he has massive incentive to keep fighting.

Yeah this is true I guess. I don't follow the Rags much but fighting the only asset that Rempe brings to the table? Is he pretty much garbage everywhere else?

That's the worst part about it.

Yeah... he's not really any different than Dermy.

That's the worst part about it.
It is just the reality of why it is happening. I don't blame Rempe at all. It'll be the difference between him being out of the league by 30, but having a cottage on a lake where he never has to work another day... or working construction at 25 and probably until he's 65.
