2024 2025 Around the League Part 2

Excited to have the Habs in the playoffs. Atmosphere is always electric. I still have fond memories of Halak upsetting the Caps, and Mike Cammalleri was just unstoppable that one year

I'm happy Montreal is in too. Maybe we get Habs-Leafs in the second round?

Wonder what's less likely? The Leafs advancing to the second round or the Caps losing to Montreal?

I'm looking forward to Leafs-Sens though. That was one of my favorite first round series back in the day, when they seemed to play every year, so it's nostalgic to see it back.

Some of the most entertaining and intense hockey ever, and the PBP calls on CBC were great. So many characters on those teams. They absolutely hated each other too and it showed every single game.

Really hoping Sens beat the Leafs. Just for the lulz

I don’t know where else to post it, but this kid is just stupid good.

Does whatever he wants with the puck at all times and seems to always pull it off.

A Michigan in the playoffs. Nuts.

Very skilled version of this while skating instead of standing behind the net.

Most of the time when I see this play though, there's a guy on the ice I'm wondering why he's just watching him scoop the puck up and make the move, instead of steamrolling him when he comes around the net.

Even if it's not in time to stop the shot, just to send a message.

I'd be happy if these were the only options in the first round every year. Everyone gets in, but you have to beat your rival to advance. Sets up a lot of good second round matches too.

Everyone else can f*** off for sucking too long or not being interesting enough. Their punishment is to have an elimination game while the other teams rest, to determine the other first round series in each conference to make it even.

Oh and no more video reviews to call back goals for being an inch offside. I'll be submitting my resume for commissioner soon.

Round 1

Avs vs Stars
Oilers vs Flames
Hawks vs Blues
Kings vs Knights
Canucks vs Wild
Wings vs Preds

Leafs vs Sens
Habs vs Bruins
Rangers vs Isles
Pens vs Caps
Lightning vs Panthers
Flyers vs Devils

It would need to be in the Conference Finals, Habs get switched into the Metro bracket

Seems more like to me that Habs beat Capitals and then Hurricanes/Devils, than the Leafs beating Sens and then Panthers/Lightning, but maybe, just maybe, it's Toronto's year

Ah yes. This playoff format is so silly and this is an example why.

Had a chance for Leafs-Sens and Leafs-Habs back to back, which would have been great for the league, but they gotta f*** around and get worse matchups instead.

Not saying it's untrue, but...

- Caught sharing drugs with a player.
- Said she was sexually assaulted 3 months prior.

Hmm...
There's nothing that suspicious about it, if you think about it for a moment. She obviously tried to resolve an uncomfortable situation by herself, and didn't raise an issue about the assault because (thankfully) it was not really serious, and she wanted to keep her job. Later on, when she was about to be canned for sharing her medicine with a player, she obviously had no reasons to hide anything anymore.
