He's Mike Hoffman with a slightly better shot. One trick pony, sucks at everything hockey outside of that one trick. And it's not like he's scoring all kinds of goals on the PP either, it's always the same shot from the same spot. No creativity whatsoever.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with everything he dealt with the past few seasons. But if next season he's still a one trick pony (honestly most likely outcome) and doesn't improve the rest of his game, he won't be in the league for that much longer IMO.

He also has 17,400,000 remaining reasons to not give a f***, either.
He’s made $50,000,000 in his career and will be a couple of mil under $70m earned when this contract expires.
He won’t adapt or change how he plays, will sign 2 or 3 more NHL contracts at continuously reduced amounts and then ride off into the sunset.

Well we don't exactly get to pick in the top 5 for a while. Flyers and Habs got lucky though, there was very little doubt these two would become players.
Is Demidov even good or does he get to play with Newhook that's making it look easy?

The day my dad retired, he turned into a complete ludite. Dude used technology his whole life to craft excel spreadsheets and formulas for cost-accounting and breaking down prices of a component like I've never seen... but when it comes to finding out what time a restaurant opens, he's hopeless.
I've seen my future... I'm hoping to avoid it.
