2024 2025 Around the League Part 2

Biggest domino dropped over the weekend, and it looks like Lindstrom (CBJ prospect) will be heading to Michigan State next year (probably has a god NIL deal on top of that). Absolutely love him as a player, but he hasn't played all season due to recovering from back surgery.

And I believe everyone at Spittin' Chicklets are all confident that McKenna will be joining the NCAA next season as well (rumoured to be going to one of the Boston clubs, BC or BU).

While in the BCHL, one of their best franchises is joining the WHL in the Penticton Vees (Chilliwack is also joining WHL). This CHL to NCAA deal is going to kill a lot of the lower-end junior leagues both in Canada and the NAHL IMHO. Junior A in Canada and NAHL/EHL/NCDC in the States. However, on the bright side, I think this will potentially sway more NCAA schools that were on the fence about creating a D1 team to be given the green light (of course, if the finances are also okay).

That's concerning, the USHL ain't exactly a cash cow. The Lincoln Stars play in an absolute barn.

I’m excited to see Penticton join the WHL. I’m very close and work in an industry that can have extended time off. I may have to look at season tickets if they are reasonable!

He's a 3rd line wing. Like Ross Colton.
I think he's better than Colton, at least a better all-around player. He's unfortunately a pretty lousy shooter. Colton, when he can get the goddamn puck on net, is a good shooter.

I thought he was a pure winger as well for years but really, he's a very good utility guy, wing or center. I think on a good team he's a perfectly acceptable 3C, but I think his best value is when he can move around the bottom six a bit and fill whatever need is at the time.

But in any case, Detroit is a gawdawful team that is coached by one of the most conservative guys in league history. He's not a good fit for that kind of system, and his dreary point totals kinda indicate that.

That thumbnail of Pierre sums him up pretty well.

Whether it's his awkward interviews with star players, or his past working relationship with Scotty Bowman, or his sucking up to Eddie O constantly, he just tries to latch onto, and associate himself with people with clout and name recognition.

101% in coming fine on Chatfield there. Anything resembling slew foots should be suspended IMHO, but this is Parros, so 5k fine.

Too much Muscle Milk in the offseason.
Agreed. He needs to train with Nuke in the offseason. I really want to see a gopnik version of Jost.

Would love to see the expression on his puck bunnies face as he's taking a 3am photo shoot with an AK-47, white powder on his moustache, and several empty bottles of vodka laying around. He'll need a cheap knockoff addidas track suit of course.

Dustin Wolf is pretty stiff competition for Hutson. This isn't some landslide. The race is close.
Wolf is going to do well in the race, but I doubt he majorly effects the outcome. He's going to face the same problems that all goalies face in awards when they get clumped into an award with skaters. They just don't play enough.

If the spread holds tonight between DAL/NSH and WPG/VGK, Dallas will only be two points behind with a game in hand.

Winnipeg losing Vilardi might have f***ed them. What a huge shift for Dallas to not have to go through both Colorado and Winnipeg. But maybe we get lucky and a Blues team riding a hot streak can pull off an upset.
