He emphasized that at the end of the day they didn't get the job done.

But he also repeatedly made excuses about bad bounces, said you need calls on your side to make the playoffs, and "overall it was a decent game."

Dude, your team had 18 shots and then quit playing at the end. That's not a decent game. Doesn't matter that the Wings suck more than you. That's not the message to send a young team.

That is almost as egregious a call as refs missing Matt Duchene being offside by 10 feet.

Elvis not only initiates contact with Palmieri OUTSIDE the crease, he has time to get reset and still can't make the save.

No idea what that ref was seeing.

Speaking of shots, I haven’t seen much discussion about how good we’ve been at shot suppression since the deadline.

Avs haven’t allowed 30+ shots in any of the 8 games since the deadline. Pretty damn impressive.

Palmieri's skates never go into the blue but it looks like his back/butt do... Idk its a pretty soft call, but not as egregious as I think it's being made out to be. But this is also the NHL's doing with how inconsistently call GI.
