I honestly don’t know anything about him, but if he owns a Premier League team AND another European club, he must be loaded AF.

Kinda surprised it isn’t Fertita.
Yeah, since it's not Fertitta, it raises an important question; Arena? Is this guy going to build an arena he controls, or will he be a tenant at Fertitta's? The latter option will surely lead to questions of financial viability (sp?) down the road.
I'd hazard a guess that Houston metro area is big enough for two arenas, though....

Must be nice to get 30 goals from a nobody like Dorofeyvev. Since 00-01, the Avs have only had 23 players with seasons of 30 goals or more.

Mack x6
Miko x5
Sakic x4
Hejduk x4
Landeskog x2
Duchene 1
Svatos 1

Literally 1 Svatos season out-of-nowhere in the past 25 years, everybody else expected.
"What is that?"

(in Patrick Roy's voice)

Here’s the thing, Houston pretty much IS a metro area. That’s how spread out and overdeveloped it is.

Sabres hockey ladies and gentleman. Down 1, net pulled, delayed penalty against Utah, and Tage Thompson decides to throw a hard pass to...

LOL did the announcer really have to add the "but the puck has been shot in the net by their own guy, Buffalo, the goal counts". Rubbing salt in the wound haha. I wouldn't wish Sabres fandom on my worst enemy.

So with Draisaitl out week to week Mackinnon all but locks up the Art Ross barring something monumental from Kuch. Hart is probably now 50/50 between Mack and Helle.

Thomas Harley's TOI last night: 31:10 minutes

Harley didn't practice today and the assumption from their beat writers is because of how much he played last night. Looking at each game the last few weeks, they're playing this kid 25+ minutes every night. Dallas plays pretty much every other day the rest of the way.

Avs need to keep the race close down the stretch just to keep squeezing as much energy as possible from this guy.

If Heiskanen misses and Harley is worn thin from carrying the defense, the Stars would be very exposed to the Avs and their speed.

Hellebuyck is way out in front of MacKinnon imo. I’d say it’s like 70/30 at best.

Drai isn’t done either tho but this should help Nate win the art Ross assuming he stays healthy.

Doubtful. Only times goalies win MVP outside of Hasek are when there are no intriguing forwards, Or when their are intriguing forwards, they miss to many games in the season.

Even if heiskanen returns, gotta hope Harley plays himself to the ground. Then it'll just be a recovering heiskanen and drained Harley

Hope you’re right. MacK will have voter fatigue from last year and if he’s winning the Art Ross that’s another mark against him.
Also Helly isn’t winning anything else this year other than maybe the presidents trophy and Vézina so voters will want to see him awarded.

I don’t get that reasoning. You say Mack winning other awards (art ross) will count against him but then say helle winning other awards (vezina) will be a mark in his favor. What gives?

Well MacK’s winning the Smythe and Stanley Cup too. Helly gets the consolation prize. :)

I doubt it.

Goaltenders or Dmen rarely win a damn thing unless they produce superhuman seasons. The awards are heavily in favor of forwards.
