I have a feeling, Mikko is gonna produce like a 8 or 9 million dollar player making 12 mill in Dallas. He’s probably gonna be a 80-90 point player there which is not worth 12 mill, if he even gets to 90 points

To me, there's a strong possibility Mikko Rantanen is Jonathan Huberdeau 2.0.
I've said from the beginning I don't believe for one second he lives up to that contract even if the cap goes up.

I’m not sure if his production gonna drop that significantly like Huberdeau’s, but yeah, he’s not gonna produce nearly the same as he did playing with Nate

I go back and forth on this in my head but I’d like to see a rule against icing your own puck in the 3v3 OT and maybe even disallowing a backwards 2 line pass.
That Minnesota game a few weeks ago was awful in how they just controlled the puck for like 4 mins because they didn’t like their zone entries. That crap was just stupid. It’s not just a Minnesota thing - everyone does it. But that silly stuff knocks like 1-2 mins off the OT periods I’ve watched.
It doesn’t even need to be a penalty if it happens -a faceoff maybe.
I’m not quite sure how to address it and won’t die on the hill of a change. But it’s just plain boring to watch.

He might be back, but how close is he to 100%.
We seen key players return for the playoffs early from an injury often when they are not ready to contribute. Even that is a huge benefit for the potential playoff series.

So if DeBoer beats us again at least we'll have the excuse that his team was healthy.
Two things we know for sure DeBoer will do this playoffs. Bitch about the officiating, and find some way to throw at least one of his goaltenders under the bus.
