2024 2025 Around the League Part 2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Pärssinen scratched, huh? Coach's fault, again, I guess? :sarcasm:

CBJ are in the middle of a major choke job....all they had to do was to not suck in the last stretch but no, they couldn't do that. They are on their way to lose their 5th game of their last 6. And this one to NYR, the team that may very well steal their wildcard spot in the East.

Lame!

Parssinen is truly one player I can't figure out.

Almost everything about him eye-test wise screams NHL player and not just someone who will toil away on a 4th line for 5 minutes like he's Matt Rempe.

I don't know what it is but there must be something up with this player because it would now be three organizations in the span of a year not liking what they see.

They finished bottom 5 the past 2 years. Being in the playoff hunt in March is a win for that org, they just need to build on it next year.

He doesn't play in the structure, he just does whatever he wants.

And he's not talented enough to get away with that.

Rangers have JT Miller as their 2C, we had Casey Mittelstadt. But do go on and defend how smart it was by Bednar to never give Pärssinen even a single opportunity.

He's a top six guy, not a grinder. There are many guys like this who are boom or bust. Either they make it and play on a scoring line, or they're out.

EP's back. They tried to write him off but he didn't write back!

Do you mean to tell me that a 26 year old star who has already notched a 100 point season in his career still remembers how to play hockey? What wizard could have predicted that?

JFC how long have you been waiting to write this? Guy has been sucking ass for nearly 2 years and now he has a couple of good games and all of a sudden he's back and no one should have doubted that? Even Kiviranta can have a hot streak.

Let's revisit this topic in a month, at the very least.
