He doesn't need to; a matchup against Bednar is an automatic win for DeBoer

It's gonna be either Winnipeg, Vegas, or Dallas round 1. Unless, somehow, Edmonton or LA get hot and jump Vegas. Avs don't matchup well with any of those teams.

It’s either a first round elimination for us(most likely) or we eliminate a contender and then the sky is the limit.

Vegas, Dallas and Edmonton is death. LA I like our chances, Winnipeg we beat them last year but repeating would be really tough.
I'm having a hard time to see us winning a round this year. Everyone would have to stay healthy and CMac would have to have a great deadline just to make it remotely possible.

Well Avs have a goalie now so there is that. And basically anything can happen in playoffs even in best of 7 series.
I dont care at all who the Avs face. You have to beat the best to be the best and winning the cup is all I care. There is no shortcuts..

Dallas are the most scary in the West, but why is everyone so scared of Vegas and Edmonton? Edmonton especially are super flawed. Winnipeg is only scary because of Helly, if they can solve him again (which is hard) then they can win that series.

Oilers are cup favorites. Losing 5 in a row doesn't change that.

Well it gets you eliminated in playoffs losing 5(4) straight. Also seems their hot streak has ended.

In the DeBoer era I could see that, but the Cassidy era doesn't seem like such a problem. Its been pretty even, with Vegas edging it 4-3-1 since Cassidy was hired in the offseason after our cup. And one of their wins was this season in October and was an 8-4 thrashing - when we had George letting in 5 goals on 16 shots.

I don't care who the Avs play against in the playoffs. They all have their pros and cons. I much prefer the Avs go into the playoffs after a very good stretch so let's win games.

There is a good chance Heiskanen is out till the 2nd round our later. I'm not scared of Dallas. They are beatable, especially if he's out in round 1
