It’d be nice for them to lose, travel tonight, arrive late in Denver, and then we kick their asses tomorrow on their back-to-back.

So strange how he just suddenly started doing that and wouldn’t stop. You know the coaches were screaming at him to hold onto the puck and fire it when he found a lane (and I swear he DID listen for like, a game) but then he went right back to blindly firing it from the point.

The Avs are no longer the same fast team of 2020-2022. They have fast individual players but they don't play relentlessly fast like they used to.

Utah is a surprisingly fast hockey team.

I never seen a guy join the rush more than Graves. It freakin made Ozo blush. So many times in a game where Graves would go up and leave Makar to stay home.

With the puck they move up the ice fast. But don't pressure opposing teams nearly as quickly anymore.

This worked out nicely.

A regulation win tomorrow and we tie Minnesota in the standings but ahead of them on ROW.

This has been such a crazy year to follow the Avs.

We had the trades of both goaltenders plus Mikko Rantanen. We've still hopefully got more big deadline moves and Gabe coming back. We've had Nate and Cale have success at the 4 Nations.

Meanwhile, the Avs have underperformed most of the year, and had key injuries again, but they're still decently in a playoff spot, with a chance to move up to 3rd in the division, and possibly 2nd if Dallas goes on a cold streak.

For a long time it's been hard to figure out where they really sit in relation to other teams too, because the Avs played so many more games. So it left some uncertainty sitting in a Wild Card spot.

Is this the part of the schedule where teams catch up on games played? Forever it seems like all the teams had 4-5 games in hand. Now they only have 1-2. Will be nice to get some more clarity on where they stand.
