I could not agree more, though I am quite concerned about the wheels. He was slow to begin with, and if he couldn't keep up with the St. Louis Slog, I dunno...
All he needs to do once the zone is gained is go to the net. Yeah, the skating is a concern, so it depends on what he's looking for.
They need to be talking to him at least.
I would give Saad a redo here, I was a big fan of him and how he played for us during his time here. Big fan and good lockerroom bloke.
I still think Grubs is a solid mid-starting goaler, but Kraken had to make that move, he has been an utter mess this season.

No. They both said the Avs didn't have what it takes (cap space and salary structure discipline) to win with them on the roster. They were right.
That team wasn't winning shit with Gru at 6 million and Saad at whatever he made. Although Saad seemed like a good bloke. They both chased the bag and got what they wanted.

If my memory serves, the Avs offered Saad a contract when he became an UFA, albeit less term than St Louis. And they also traded for him before. So there's clearly appreciation for his game among the Avs mgmt. It would be an interesting addition for cheap, though at some point the bottom 6 will start to get a bit overcrowded.

Hockey Club sucks donkey balls, and I really hope the NHL doesn't allow that. Wasatch is kinda shitty too. Doesn't roll off the tongue at all. Of the three, the Mammoth is the best option, although it sucks that there's already a team called that here.

Name team after small mountain no one has heard of except people in Utah. Perfect lol
His game three years ago to today seems like it's declined sharply. A winger who may not be able to keep up with the play doesn't seem like much of an addition. Maybe if he comes cheap enough.
But hoping Cmac has something better up his sleeves. Unless Saad will rebound and can keep up. I recall him being a responsible top 6 W. May look good on the third line with Mitts.

Wahsatch is a name that shows up often in Colorado. It's from the Ute, who were native to Colorado. You see it in street names, businesses, plenty of stuff. It's also a mountain outside of Telluride.
But yeah, the Wahsatch Range is synonymous with Utah. And I think it's the most fitting name. Unfortunately, it doesn't really have any pizazz to it as a team name.
Anyway, as long as they honor their fan votes, they're going to be named the Mammoth.
