I normally think the criticism of Schneider is way over the top but I do not understand bringing in Hatch to basically let a 3-1 game disappear on you.

He already gave up

The reluctance to use Clement when he's putting up a Tony Gwynn statline in AAA and has had nothing but terrific ABs in MLB is absolutely driving me nuts. Instead more terrible Espinal and Biggio ABs.

I absolutely hate it when coaches/managers in any sport get stuck in yesterday and don't adjust to new information. Right now Ernie Clement is their best bench hitting option, and it isn't close. Figure it out.

Getting really tired of this garbage. I'm as patient as they come. Heck I witnessed the Leafs last Stanley cup. But this lack of hitting and nothing being done within the organization to atleast try and correct things. Even a change....

Outhit 46-18 in a series that could put have put us back into contention for the divisional title. Does not speak highly of our best players, especially Vladdy who disappears in big games. The big moment seems to be always be too big for him. Let’s not get started on Springer, pitiful he couldn’t use that bloop hit last night to springboard him into better at-bats.

As Siddell said post game, they have terrible approaches to at-bats, chasing poor pitches, etc. Poor decisions, trying too hard, whatever, if they don’t get their heads out of their asses, they’re going to be out of a wild card spot after this weekend. I just don’t have confidence these guys are going to figure it out. Frustrating team to watch sometimes.

He has limited defensive utility and isn't the primary backup option at any position, he can't hit (and can't hit velocity in particular), doesn't add speed, just brings absolutely nothing to the table and doesn't fill any need on the roster. Basically a replacement-level player over the last 3 years.

I get why they have the gimmicky playoff stuff, but it’s so stupid.

Espinal has dropped off defensively but he can still play SS and while Bichette is out they have to have 2 guys on the roster capable of playing SS. Once Bichette returns, yeah, Espinal is redundant too as at that point he's the 3rd best SS option.

What a let down this season is with how incredible the pitching has been. Manoah excluded. I think we’ll get Manoah blown out tomorrow and he can be sent down to finish the season in AAA and go back to a five man. If Ryu struggles worse than Manoah at that point maybe we entertain bringing him back up for September

Most of the folks ( media, scouts, fathers of players) I talked to in Dunedin had them 85-89 wins and I was the lone bullish one predicting 90.
