Looks like they were trying to have him put down a bunt and use his speed to force the issue so that they either get chapman to 3rd with 1 out or he beats it out and it/s 1st/3rd with no outs.

Then he went and popped the bunt up in foul territory and it was all for naught.

Kind of a dumb play. A decent ball in play to the right side or almost anything into the outfield gets Chapman to 3rd anyways and it doesn't rely on having to get a clean bunt down.

I watched what happened, they are no further behind in just having him swing away, Schneider screwed up
