Hats off the Schneider for taking out Belt with the bases loaded in a crucial AB. Kirk comes in a draws a walk and allows the game to open up.

Keep Belt out of every game please. DFA

I think Belt is suffering from a timing issue and predict he will come out of it.

If not, que the Votto to Toronto rumors. He's on his last year and can join us as a 1B/DH.

Votto's four years older, was worse than Belt last year, and his current numbers on a rehab assignment in AAA are just as bad as Belt's in the majors.

The thing with Votto is the Jays don't need to make a move for him right now.

He has been pretty brutal in his rehab assignment for sure. Currently 4/32 and striking out at an insane (especially for a guy known for his all-world plate discipline) 55% clip. But with a player of his abilities, he isn't written off yet.

There's over 3 months of time between now and the deadline. If he bounces back at the major league level between now and then and Belt is still struggling, then maybe you circle back. Or maybe Votto is done done and Belt finds his footing. Or maybe he still sucks.

I would love to see Votto in a Jays jersey provided he still has something to give. He's 39 and coming off pretty significant surgery so that may be asking for too much.

He may have changed his mind but a few years ago he said didn't really want to come. Cincinnati was his home not Toronto it would be like any other trade.
