Nine runs to the Rockies…yikes. Good thing our offence was on tonight. Gotta wonder though, why weren’t Davis and Earnie up earlier in the season. Too loyal to slugs like Espinal and Biggio for too long.

Biggio has done really well since his bad start. No problem keeping him up. Definitely, Espinal should be down and Clement up a lot earlier. Espinal has been bad defensively as well.

Don't watch Jays much, mostly just Jays in 30 or get highlights. But I would be open to trading Vlad this off season. Seems too goofy and laid back. Plus can get big haul for him because of his last name. A free agent like Belt just as good.

When is a win not a win? When you lose your de facto starting catcher and your off season reliever signing finally pitches in a major league game and gets blasted. Tough season this one. Considering all of the significant players who have under performed to expectations, it's amazing that the team is still in the hunt.

I have to disagree with Biggio doing "really well". Improved on his abysmal stats from the start, sure, but no way he should have been kept up as long as he has. He hasn't even matched his career stats. His batting average right now is .218 vs .223 career, OPS now of .680 vs career .730 and OBP .311 vs .340 career. A few weeks of improvement from dismal to underwhelming is not justification to have kept him up over Clement or Schneider, especially when the offence was struggling. I understand starting the season with him, he's a middling player who has a history with Schneider, but they stuck with him way too long.

It's not a few weeks though, he has a wRC+ of 111 since May.

Espinal and Clement are similar types of players. Clement over Espinal makes sense. Now with Biggio, he provides some things those players don't such as more power, lefty bat, and more walks. He's not my ideal bench guy though but there haven't been other better options.

Man, Jansen has the luck of an ass with his fingers/hand. It's amazing he's hit as well as he has this year, given the at bats compared to others.

He's got 17 HR 53RBI with half the at bats of guys like Springer, Bichette or Vlad.

What teams do you think would be interested trading anything of value for him? I’m on camp trade him too fwiw.

I don’t actually mind Heineman? I wouldn’t even say he’s a lost cause at the plate like a Maldonado, Hedges or Barnes
Regardless, games are too important. We gotta run with Kirk, whose actually been hitting better lately. Let him find his groove. I don’t want Schneider overthinking things as he usually does and think that Kirk needs a rest. In his words “it’s go time”.

I am not surprised that's a broken finger. I think the velocity on these foul tips is faster than just a straight fastball hitting you on the hand from the pitcher. And also at such a close range, ouch!
