All of Hedman/Ekholm/Forsling/Brodin plays good teams in the first round. And are Oscar Lindberg, Lander, Klingberg and Friberg our nos 10-14 at forward? Given a week of and two weeks of training.

One of Arvidson, Kempe, Johansson and Wennberg might join as well.

Markström is cruical.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: None of your listed forwards are on the roster against Norway, so, shouldn't play Worlds.

Wouldn’t be surprising if Calle Rosén got a call. 18 pts in 49 games and a +19, plus Hallam knows him well since his time in Växjö.

I dont mind. He is very smart.

Call me crazy, but Måns Forsjäll could be a man for WC.

Elias Lindholm also declines.

Markström also declines. And that's that from Calgary. 0/4 possible players.

First round additions are gonna be necessary.

Yes, Bratt or Zibanejad would be excellent additions from that series. Adam Larsson and Wennberg can be available if Kraken get eliminated. Most of the Swedes on the Wild are injured or without contract, but Brodin and Gustavsson would be good adds. Adrian Kempe and Viktor Arvidsson from LA.

We'll see. At least we have three legit star players who can provide that elite talent we need. I don't mind having Euro guys on third and fourth line as long as we have legit fire power in top-6

Bratt is an RFA hoping to sign a big contract this off-season.

Gustavsson is also an RFA.

Is JEE injured? He is signed until like 2028 or something. Berggren/Söderblom? Ahl playoffs?

Berggren is a NHLer by now and has contract. He would be a good add.

Söderblom and Edvinsson are exotic, but question mark if they are ready.

Söderblom certainly looked ready last year. Garpenlöv used him exactly like you would expect Garpenlöv to use any large player with actual talent.

Yes, Eriksson-Ek is injured. Didn't play tonight. Berggren I am still hoping for. Söderblom had quite an underwhelming year in the AHL. I double he gets a call

I think Edvinsson looked excellent in his few games with the Wings. I wouldn't mind him on the team.

Dammit, we can probably write all Wild Swedes off then. Brodin is older and already has a gold, probably declines. Klingberg, Johansson, Nyquist and Sundqvist are all pending UFAs.

Nils Lundkvist might be a good add if the Wild win.

If the Wild are eliminated in the first round, it will not be a problem for Gustavsson to say yes, because he will definitely agree on a contract with the club. They have Fleury signed for next season and Fleury is not done yet. Wallstedt will play for Iowa next season, so a deal with Gustavsson will be quick.

A look at the contracts in Minnesota's defense says that Guerin already wanted to trade Dumba during the season but did not find adequate consideration. And he'd rather keep Klingberg for less than Dumba for six million a year. Their drafted player Lambos should get more time next season, so they will definitely have the money for Gustavsson.

Goalies are the most injury-prone position in hockey, if he wants to play it safe all this flies out of the window. Getting injured would cost him hundres of thousands of dollars, for a young player that's a big deal. And Minnesota will be looking to save anywhere they can as is.

Yeah, the only types of players to really play Worlds without a contract (no matter how "safe" their next contract is) are those who want to in some way prove themselves. The only Swede that I can remember as an exception to this is Grundström.

What is expressen doing? Everytime they post news about NHL players and the worlds its someone declining. Makes me wonder if its just some random reporter textning them at odd hours pissing them off?
