That wasn't on Elvis. He committed to making a backdoor desperation save and his own Dman sent it straight back to the passer half way into the pass.. nobody makes that save.

I only saw the last few minutes but Mateychuk looked real good.

Yeah I'd pick Mateychuk out of those three. He's looked confident, fast, and reasonably reliable. (Based on one period lol.)

The goal itself is not on Elvis, but that over the top scrambling is exactly what we saw when he was playing his worst hockey. That's why my alarms are ringing

Yeah I rewatched the replay now and it seemed liked at the time he scrambled on the dive save. My bad on that. Too used to him doing extreme scrambling and thought "oh hes at it again"
