4 Japanese pitchers, and could potentially be 2 more with Yamomoto and Sasaki.

Funny they leave the greatest league in the world to come here though.

Apparently Schilling revealed on a podcast that Wakefield has brain cancer. f***kkk
What a f***ing slimebag thing to do by Schilling. This is not his f***ing news to disclose.

Until Wake confirms it himself, can we please remove the speculation from a clown who is an attention seeking pile of shit?

On a podcast...with Tim Wakefield? Why is Curt Schilling revealing this info?
Because he's a straight up piece of shit looking for attention.

First I am so sorry for Wakefield and his family, always one of my favorite players and a class act.

Then there is the opposite of class, scumbag Schill, when you think he couldn't be anymore loathsome, dislikable or even human he proves us all wrong again.F*** you Schilling, today, tomorrow and forever, hope you choke on your "bloody" sock

An easy 30 for 30, Curt Schilling's fall from grace as a Boston sports icon

Well that confirms it! What an unreal move by Schilling. Couldn't Wake sue Schilling over this?
Pretty sure that Curt Schilling will no longer be invited to anything ever again and he will probably never be acknowledged for 2004 either. If Tek's wife is pissed, one can deduce that Tek himself is even angrier.

I'd sue him but realistically, I'm not sure he can

Good lord is Schilling a fascinating case study in terms of loving the athlete but hating the person.

Because, let's face it, he played a HUGE role in us reversing the curse in 2004...but Curt Schilling the PERSON is such a gratuitous scumbag.
The kicker is that as eggregious as this is, it is mild (while still being really bad) in comparison to the other shit he spewed earlier this week.

I mean I've long despised Schilling the person. To the point that it's damn-near impossible to watch things from 2004. Doesn't mean I can't, because he was not bigger than the team, but obviously his G6 of the ALCS was legendary (even if there's been theories out there that it was exaggerated or even outright faked).

So, again, Schilling the Boston Red Sox pitcher was great; but Schilling the person is horrendous. Which is, like I said, a fascinating case study in terms of a fandom loving the result of something he played a fairly large role in but also downright hating him and wanting nothing to do with him even while celebrating that very same championship he helped bring.

I completely get it and for me I just acknowledge the bloody sock and move along. It is easier to gloss over it because his name just invokes the firey amout of disgust I have for him and the 2004 team deserves so much more attention.

As I quote tweeted this I asked "How much did the Red Sox have to fight the urge to include 'and screw you, Curt Schilling, for divulging the information that the Wakefield's so clearly wanted to remain private"

Crazy, so now confirmed that Wake and family wanted to keep this private. Hate how people put their own personalities and egos above everything and everyone else.

Curt is such an irredeemable piece of shit
He's apparently claiming Mirabelli told him. That still doesn't give you the right to say anything. It is clear that his former teammates have know about this for some time yet they've all managed to keep it quiet.
