Anonymity would be an interesting experiment.
Anonymity, closed ballot box, first-past-the-post, ranked choice, runoff. These polls have me pondering the pros and cons of democratic voting methods in the summer doldrums.

If anybody cares to, at the end of this I'd run a survey of everyone's personal top 20 and average them all together. We'd be able to see tiers better there. But I love the debate and drama in these polls.

I just threw out that suggestion as a way to avoid consensus influence, which to me explained the surprising gap between Ostlund and Rosen, but I don't care either way and would side with the more entertaining option since that's what this is for.

People are voting based on need at the NHL level, ceiling, floor, favorites, etc so results are going to be scattered either way.

The reason I keep the results visible is to prevent distortion from people stopping by and voting randomly just to view the results.

E: And also so everyone can see if randos who don’t post on this forum are voting and skewing things.

Suggesting that people who haven’t seen more than a 20 minute highlight real of a player on YouTube are being swayed by consensus kinda misses the overall issue doesn’t it? I mean maybe everyone voting has watched dozens of hours of highlights of all these players, has attended every open camp they were at, and has given this exercise more thought than “oh people talk about this guy” but I think if you’re looking for that level of analysis these polls might be letting you down regardless.

Rosen, add Kisakov

It's insane that prospects like Rosen, Johnson, and Wahlberg are outside the top 5. It's also insane that only 5 more names will even make the Sabres top 10 list. The prospect depth is ridiculous.

Every name on this poll I can easily see becoming an NHL regular of some sort. Combine that with the five already voted for.....that's SIXTEEN guys who I can pretty easily see becoming NHL regulars. Will they all? Of course not.

But that we go (at minimum) 16 deep in guys who could/should play in the NHL is ri-goddamned-diculous.

Rosen, I wonder how the rest plays out I will be offline till August, happy voting everyone!
