Hell baby
I saw somebody say they’d lose game 1 like 115-110 and then win game 2 218-94

As is tradition! You know this core refuses to make things easy!

Same as last series, if the Celtics lose Mazzulla shouldn't last an hour before being fired, no other championship contender has had to carry a coach this bad before. For a coach so analytically driven by the 3 pointer that he's annoyed even when they shoot 71% from the field in the first half like game 1 against Philly because they didn't shoot enough 3s, it's crazy he seems willing to just give up open 3s to the other team. Atlanta did it and Miami did it last night. The Heats shooters have regressed this season but just like the Bucks series, if you give them wide open looks they will hit them at a good percentage.

The Heat shot 66% from mid-range last night, Butler is great at them but you had Max Strus hitting off the dribble middies against you, those are the shots they should be willing to live. Sell out to stop the 3 and dare their one dimensional scorers that they have a lot of to have to put the ball on the floor and create offense for themselves or defer to Butler and make him do everything every minute he's on the court the entire series. This is a team that had to beg their coach to make adjustments facing elimination though and made no adjustments to a similar problem against Atlanta.

I refuse to put the majority of the blame on a coach in the nba but my god not calling a timeout in the 3rd quarter is all-time levels of foolishness
The stark difference between Mazzulla and Spoelstra was on display last night.

Celtics went almost 6 mins into the 3Q with MIA on a 22-10 run, before Mazzulla uses a TO.

Spoelstra used one in the 4th after THREE bad possessions to start the quarter, cutting MIA lead from 12 to 5. Celtics never went on another run again.

It makes zero sense that someone at the NBA level does not understand how to use TOs to stop runs from getting out of hand..

Seriously. How do you watch your team play zero defense for an entire quarter, give up 46 points, and never call a timeout?
With serious pain. With frustration. With confusion.

With thoughts on why the GM, Brad Stevens, promoted the intern head coach to head coach before the playoffs?

With thoughts on why the Celtics' ownership agreed to promote an intern coach to a full coach before the playoffs ended?

With thoughts on how the ownership and GM can remove the full-time head coach from his position shortly after promoting him to that position?

With thoughts of how can you remain as a fan of a a team that has been your team for over 60 years that made such a mistake understanding the coach was not the only reason for failure in that game and many other games.

I hope I am wrong, but I think a team as poorly coached, soft and fragile as this team crashes and burns tonight. Strangely, I think they are talented enough to win two in Miami but would never put money on it.

Pretty obvious at this point the Celts are neither soft nor fragile. They're just inconsistent. Because you don't win some of the games they have late in series (including on the road when facing elimination) the last couple years if you are soft and fragile.

I find it challenging to think that the Celtics would fire Mazzulla should they lose the Heat series.

Why they put themselves in this position by promoting Mazzulla from Interm coach is hard to accept.

Let's win it all, so this is not the discussion.

Go Celtics

Why does anyone care that they removed the interim tag? Seems/seemed like the smart move ahead of the post-season so he had more authority.

If they decide to move on from him it'll only cost Wyc money he has coming out of his ears and ass, so who gives a shit?
