I'm just glad the NYR didn't do anything stupid; try to be the smartest person in the room. Would've preferred to move back to add a couple more picks, but this is satisfactory selection.

High hockey IQ and vision are positive signs. The skating can be improved. He'll get physically stronger (just stay away from Lafreniere in the offseason LOL).

Overall, this is a good pick; hopefully he pans out. As has been said, you aren't getting a perfect/ready to go player with the 23rd pick in the draft. He'll take time.
