I think this draft is a good lesson on exactly why teams like Edmonton or earlier days Buffalo may have struggled.

You need more than a few high end picks to succeed. Even if the Flyers lucked into Matvei being there - there are valid concerns the process itself is still flawed.

One player does not change things, although it does indeed help. It’s a long road, and while a big positive came out of today they also showed us that the stench does indeed remain.

Keeping both TK, and Laughton in particular is a massive failure. I won’t speak on Bonk because I don’t know next to nill, but he it seems to have a familiar pattern.

Mixed bag day obvs.
