I think after all the preseason camps and tournaments Beck is going make lots of people realise how big of a catch he is. He did it the same time last year and he will do it again.

Yup, even the Habs dev team were alluding to the fact the Beck will be pushing hard for a spot. Hearing them speak makes me think he'll be in the NHL next year at worst

I think he could make the team this year if we didn't have so many forwards signed already.
One more year in the OHL and he'll probably make the big club out of camp next season.

Farrell has bigger upside than Roy

I think Roy versatility gives him a bigger upside. I think he will be a top 9 that can play everywhere from 1st to 3rd line.

Missed voting in top three. I’d probably have voted Roy third so I’ll vote for him here. Engstrom would be a fine choice as well.

I voted Engstrom. I feel I'd rather have a Forsling-type of 23 + minutes all-situation defenseman who can score 40 pts than a potential 17-18 minutes versatile top-six forward ala toffoli who can score 60 pts(Roy) or a two-way third-line type who possess a lot of tools and a mature game for his age but may lack top-end offensive upside(Beck).

Man, Lane Hutson at 1. will either look incredibly smart or look awful in the coming years.

He's a volatile #1. Coming off a historic NCAA season, the ceiling is very high.

I didnt put him number 1 though because his floor is also lower than a typical #1 prospect. I mean, would it be shocking if he instead turns out to be a depth dman and a PP specialist?

But if they can attain or surpass those 3 it'd be great for us for sure

There is just too much talent there to look awful. He does thing with the puck that only the best of the best does.

This guy has megastar potential.

Before joining the league, a 100 points defenseman should exactly look like him.

I am not sure he is a 100 points defenseman, but at worst you have a third pairing who will run our PP.

Cant see a guy with that much upside busting.

And on top of it, he has the attitude and the megastar charisma and attributes

Kind of.

I think he is guy we want on the ice and with the puck even at 5 on 5. He will generate a shitload and will make our forward more productive.

I think we will abuse Guhle and Reinbacher on the d-zone start, PK and against other team top forward.

And we will abuse Hutson with o-zone start and against other teams weaker opposition.

He might not be more than a 3rd pairing/PP specialidt but that would be a major disappointment imo.

You did the same with Jake Sanderson claiming he was overrated as he offered nothing offensively.

Therefore I am not surprised with your opinion on Beck.

It match that you compare Poehling with Beck as they have nothing in common other than they were/are nhl prospects belongingt to the habs.

My opinion on Beck? I like Beck lmao.

People really need to stop extrapolating so much from a 20 word post. I had Beck more or less exactly where he went. I would rather have Firkus, sure, but I still like Beck regardless.

Im saying this because a guy like Engstrom should be a slam dunk vote over Beck, yet he is not.

Theres a case that can he made for I guess Roy, Engstrom, Farrell or Beck at this rank
I think Beck is a sure thing NHLer but the ceiling is not as high as the others
Engstrom should be a top 4 D with a small chance of a top2, time will tell
I'd go Wawa here cause in best case scenarios he'd be the most productive among the forwards, PPG wise
