Confirmed Signing with Link: 2023 Free Agency Thread

Wasn't sure where to put this one.

2012 draft pick currently playing in Sweden, looks to be gunning for the NHL again. Maybe a couple teams have come looking and he's close to a deal?

I don't think I've ever been less excited about a free agent group than I am about this one. There's absolutely nobody that I look at and think "this is the guy the Wings need". The closest might be Radko Gudas.

Ya it's really underwhelming, which means the draft should have some good trades happen.

As a nuck fan Barbishev, Gavrikov and Severson are the only pieces that make any sense but with lack of UFAs, unless a lot of heavy lifting gets done at the the draft, there might be a bidding war for them.

Nikolas Antinpalo is rumoured to be in talks with an NHL team, any buzz? Two-way defenseman, righty shooter. Plays for Finland in the world champs.

Spotted this article before the WC, it mentioned that he's signed in Finland through 2025 but might have an NHL out clause? Since he's 24, Matinpalo would have to sign a 1 year ELC so there'd be minimal risk in signing him. Imagine he'd be looking for a team lacking RD depth so he could compete for an NHL spot immediately. Off hand, Anaheim/Arizona/Ottawa/Detroit/Boston have openings. Maybe Colorado/Edmonton/Florida/New Jersey as well.

Joey Anderson has 96 NHL games though?

Looks like PuckPedia removed Anderson and O'Connor. In O'Connor case, another poster pointed out that he did hit 80 games (78 regular season, 2 playoff) so he wouldn't qualify for Group VI.
