If it's who needs and deserves a real star the most then it's Habs AINEC. We've only had 1 PPG player in the past 26-27 years and barely (Kovalev 84 pts in 08).

1 (yes I said one) player has cracked the 70 pts mark in the last 10 years (Domi with 72 pts in 18-19).

Whether you like the team or no, no fan base has been this offensively deprived.
Haha fair enough. Hopefully Slafkovsky works out for u guys

Why exactly do they "deserve" it?

I'm a Wings fan, so in my opinion we "deserve" it based on falling back in the lottery every year.
Not a Columbus fan, nor am I a Wings hater, but Columbus fans have suffered an awful lot pretty much their entire existence yet they continue to support their team. I'd like to see some luck go their way.

i'm not really a fan of using terms like deserve for something like this since nobody really "deserves" to win a lottery but if forced to use that description i'd say Columbus certainly does more than most teams

they made a real attempt to compete this year and had a ridiculous amount of injuries derail them

Arizona and CBJ deserve a break for once. They won't get it though. It will be a northeast team getting first so Philly/Washington, then Chicago getting second.

I am praying to 8lb 6oz baby Jesus that the Hawks win it.

Rather than say AZ or Columbus. SJ would be OK. Vancouver would be cool as it is his home town but he could handle that. Hell no on MTL….they would ruin him.

Go Hawks!!!!

San Jose also tried to compete, didn’t have any bad injury luck. They just suck. There’s no hope for a bounce back next year. They had the least amount of wins of any team. Timo still finished as the leading goal scorer by 4 goals. And that’s after playing over 1/4 of the season with another team. Not a single 30 goal scorer outside of Timo.

If Karlsson is traded this offseason, I don’t see how they aren’t dead last next year.

I might be the only person who would not mind Arizona.

It would save a franchise, losing a team, is brutal.

For all the diehard Arizona fans, and they never had a Legit superstar before.

It would change everything for them.

Also, being from Vancouver, I can make the short trip and watch them.
I wouldn't mind the Coyotes getting it. If they would have had some lottery luck, they might have been able to get more fans. I'm all for small market teams getting the top picks... it expands interest in the areas. Bedard to Chicago/Montreal/etc. isn't going to really increase their popularity, they already sell out if they are even average (no idea if they are selling out now when they are bad).

Chicago had a decade of success to rival many in history and then got a slap on the wrist for covering up sexual assault. Arizona was punished more harshly for hosting pre-draft workouts with prospects.

So anyone but Chicago.

Blues will win the lotto, draft Bedard. In a pre-season Fortnite marathon with Thomas and Kyrou , they will get drunk and hit Bedard with a golf cart, blowing his knees out which will facilitate a trade to the Avalanche for pennies on the dollar. Fueled by legalized weed and Coors Light, he'll reconstitute his career making the Avalanche a decade long dynasty.

Book it, it is the way of the Blues.
