John Dietz reports that Lukas Reichel will start the season at CENTER...
So revise your lineup if you put him on LW.

T.Johnson Bedard Hall
Dach Reichel Kurashev
Perry AA Donato
Foligno Guttman Dickinson
13thF=battle between Blackwell/R.Johnsin

Kaiser S.Jones
Tinordi Murphy
Vlasic Roos/Phillips *

That both Roos and Phhiips are left D playing off side is a problem..

They will send Korchonski back to juniors for more development on his defensive game .

Also they will send homback because they can..

The coaches will defer th tge okd saw that you canntibtroduce too many I experienced dmen at the same time.

Kaiser looks lije tge most advanced and Vladic and Ohilliosxearned their chance from AhL tone I Rockford..

So Korchinski must be exceptional to make this team in a top 1LD or 2LD role they will not give him limited 3D role.
Besides...tgey want to ve better but not too good yet this season to be out of a goid kittery pick chance for a top 3-5 pick...If Kaiser and Koechinski both goid enough to imoact tbus season that coukd push them i to a mid -pack area ..even a bubble team for tge pkayoffs.. I think tgey woukd not prefer to advance thT fast...Next season yes.. Start the layoff push seriously..but this season ...take it as it comes...
So..no absolute need to rush Korchinski...go back...dominate in Juniors and help CNada at Workd juniors...work on getting better defensively...cut down on mistakes.. Get even better..

A lot of other teams have already released their training camp rosters so the Hawks probably release theirs today. Hopefully all the 2022 and 2023 drafted players that played in the Kurvers will be at training camp - I want to see Misiak, Lardis, Savoie, Hayes, Ludwinski and a few others competing against NHL players.

I would guess the 12th/13th forward and Left Handed Defensemen will be the most interesting "training camp battles" to follow.

Hey it's Seth Jones...remember him?

He of the$9.5 and -93 over last 206 regular seasonGP...as our starting 1RD......this being ONLYSeason 2 of his massive 8 year deL

Hard to be optimistic sidled with this albatross..

Show me Seath...cause till I see you can defend well ,I expect tge same kevelof defending incompetence from you this srasonand as long as the Hawks have you under cobtract...It is not that the effort is not there ...but the sheer volume of goals going into our net when you are onshore is factually atrocious.

We did nit need a vaunted well staffed analytics depth to tell us this is unacceptable at $950,000 let alone $9.5 million...

But wait...you have gone to a whipoy stock like Bedard..So you will score 30 goals now and that should cut your+/- down to a more respectable- number no worse than -10 fotthe season, right?

Show me Seth.. show me..Because I do not expect much improvement from your gamete thevlont you get even respectable from shameful.

But hey ...I think you might be better as a forward where the gane is easier to process ..but hey...what do I know?

Showme Seth...show me..Because right now I am a skeptical on your game.

I just do not believe you know how to defendas a d-man.

Whether Korchinski is ready or not, it won’t be from lack of opportunity.

Comparing Bedard to Stone is the most generous thing Richardson could have said. That's a Selke caliber player. It'd be insane if Bedard also became that good defensively.

Korchinski-Murphy is a great pairing. Couldn't have given the kid a better partner.

I love the Kaiser-Jones and Korchinski-Murphy pairings at practice today and hope LR keeps those guys together throughout camp. They were in different practice groups today so don't know if we'll see the 4 of them together in any preseason games.

I recall a couple short vids from a couple of the practices leading up to the Kurvers games that showed Kaiser going up against Bedard to try to defend him and it was really cool seeing Kaiser's skating ability and tenacity giving Bedard a hard time - like Kaiser is challenging himself to take on the best and show the coaches what he can do. In some of the line rushes today it was Kaiser-Jones against Donato-Bedard-T.Johnson and it looked like the Kaiser-Jones tandem played very well.
