Not gonna get excited about a draft+1 7th rounder but hes tearing it up pretty good right now. Maybe hes one of those guys who lost time with covid and hes gonna bloom a little later
Seems like his production exploded after they switched him away from center, so it might also just be a matter of having found a better line situation for him.

Kamloops is the 2nd worst team in the WHL by points percentage and has scored the 2nd fewest goals in the WHL. Nice season production-wise for Finnie given what I assume are fairly difficult circumstances.

I was thinking a young Yzerman

That's not a bad guess, but I was thinking of this....

He has to charge his number 😜

Where would he plug in though?

I agree with the excitement part. Though it would be nice if we ever got a late game for once, long time since we had an unexpected pick turn out.

36 points in 23 games. Showing that Lombardi trajectory

His goal was pretty smart. Stick check the defender to eliminate getting the stick across so his winger can spring the pass through the outside. Great touch and finish

I have trouble projecting Finnie, but I like the skating, hands and smarts. He's got a good frame as well. Maybe a solid 3rd liner swiss army knife guy?

I'm gonna choose to be delusional and hope we get a way better player than a 3rd line guy lol

Last season he finished 1st in scoring on a horrible flint team by far and this season hes taken off . I'm hoping we found a late steal lord knows we need it

The kid just keeps getting better.

Side note: These Major junior and AHL announcers are impressive.

I think there's a good probability that he winds up being a middle 6 winger, his production is about the same as Stankoven in his D+2 season for the same team. I'm hoping second line as well, I've seen enough UFA dumpster diving for wingers past their expiration date, and the Wings are a bit thin on LW prospects. When Finnie plays for GR next season, there's not a whole lot of competition for 1st line LW.
