Prospect Info: [2023 - 69th] Jacob Fowler (NCAA - Boston College)

Man BC is sooooo bad in the PP. Icing the Puck. 0-4 already, and another PP now ongoing 1 min in, nothing. Jesus.

Edit: Now 0-5 for the game on the PP. Bentley just killed 4 mins straight, two back to back PP.

Not facing a lot of shots but having to make big saved when you do face them is arguably a good thing.

That's a mental game. The most important aspect of goaltending.
Had a debate other day. Is it better to get a lot of shots on net or a few but good scoring chance?

I went with a lot of shots because chance for rebounds, deflection and mistakes by goalie. I find teams make a lot of turnovers also passing puck around to get perfect scoring chance. Buddy said many shots keep goalie sharp. A few shots he be colder. Tougher for him to defend against 15 good shots than 40 shots.

You as a goalie, you find a lot of perimeter shots help keep you sharp. Or is a few shots but from high danger area?

Will Fowler be signed soon, or will he decide to stay one more season in College ? I think he wanted to win the National Championship badly before signing his first pro contract.

Leonard would surely had been a better option over Reinbacher (knowing Habs did not want anything to do with Michkov).

Likely signed and headed to Laval IMO...

Washington is doing quite well in recent years with their draft. The Protas brothers, Leonard, Crystall, Hutson….
Yeah, Leonard, Cristal and Hutson all showed they were good NHL players already

They have tremendous potential. Did Reinbacher show anything yet at NHL level ?
How could he when he hasn't played single shift in the NHL yet? And yet here you are saying he's a bad pick when none of those "tremendous potential" players you mentionned have shown more than him :laugh::laugh:

Saying Reinbacher is already a bad pick is all I need to know to not take your opinion about prospects seriously.

With Laval having an elite number 1 (at least at the AHL level) and a solid number 2 I dont see Fowler playing against this year if he get signed and sent down to the Rocket. I think he will just train with the team and witness their playoff experience.

Not many goalies do that, though. You also speed up your waivers clock.
He said he felt ready for pro. Primeau and Lindgraine did it, no? His agent knows how Mtl pumps up its prospects. He’s got leverage. He can stay one more year and then just tell us to f*** off to oblivion.

Lindgren did it because he was a free agent, with no draft rights.

Primeau left in 18-19 and played in Laval, with 2 games in Montreal the following year.
