Look who Arizona took at 6. They were 100% going to take Reinbacher. Trade down makes sense if you felt OK with getting Leonard as plan B.

Why does our management, no matter who we have, seem to always think they're smarter than everyone else. I can't believe they did this. So all we get for 2 years on the bottom is slavkosky and reinbacher? And this being touted as a great draft, especially for forwards. So let's take a defenseman! Not a great one at that either. 6 teams passed on Michkov. So I'm not sure the habs think they're smarter than everyone. They had the same concern as 6 other teams who also passed on the "second best player in the draft."

Yes yes everyone loves the sarcastic guy in the corner. Best chance at getting a star in the nhl is drafting high. Do you agree or disagree with that statement?

If you agree with both of those things then the only way we hit on a star is by luck when we draft lower. Great way to run a franchise. On a wing and a prayer.

We really needed a future top pairing defenseman. Hopefully he is that guy because otherwise passing on Michkov will suck.

But I've Reinbacher all year. Great skater, good size, good defender and great production vs men in the top swiss league. Usually guys his age don't even play in that league and yet he put up .5 PPG. There's a lot to like there, regardless of Michkov.

This draft will probably make or break Hughes. Lets hope they picked correctly.

Guys, I get it, it isn't a sexy pick but trust, this guy will be a stud for a long time. He put up incredible stats in his draft season in a men's league and his biggest strength is his defense. We got a good one.

I think Reinbacher can become a 30-40 point 2way dman.

We are drafting by need. Slaf last year because we wanted moar size, and now we see that Barron and Mailloux cannot both be in the top 4 due to their defensive game.

Guhle, Mailloux, Reinbacher. 3 big boys with size and skill. All 3 big minute munchers. Add Hutson and his skillset to them and you got yourself a future Top-4 who you can win with. And then you have the Sheriff on the third pair causing pain.

This is a killer d-corp. You can never have enough skilled defenseman.
