Yet again, the announcers clap the Kings game plan in a subtle manner.

“We all know the LA Kings and this 1-3-1 they run and the usual results of it here but they have a lot of leadership and let’s see how they can respond”

…this was just as Oilers were getting past the 1-3-1 deployment and into the Kings zone.

These guys were in the early mid-20s when they won the Cup. Their incredibly high level of play was a key component of the Cups, but these guys are not now nor have they ever been "leaders".

Leadership has to be proactive. Just being the most respected guy in the room doesn't make you a leader. And if there has been any constants to this team since the 14 Cup it's a lack of accountability and inability to coalesce as a team better than the sum of its parts.
