Was the Halonen reassignment to Utica on 3/1 just another paper move or is NJ simply too cheap to send him back ahead of the rest of the group's return to Jersey after today's game? He would have been a much better player against Hershey yesterday than Isley.

I'm sure they wanted him to just step off a 5 hour flight with a 2+ hour drive to play the next game immediately.

It's not a paper move because the Devils made a trade and added a player to their roster, and in doing so moved Halonen off of it.

We’d be neighbors. Wilburys was the biggest missed opportunity in music history. Can you imagine the concert? You have Orbison, Petty, Dylan, ELO, and oh yeah, George’s catalog to play on top of the Wilburys album. How nobody was able to beg them to do it for historical purposes is beyond me.

Orbison died right after the 1st album was released so he wouldn’t have been there.

It wasn’t that no one asked the rest to tour to together, they just couldn’t pull it off where the all agreed to do it.

Yes. Forgot Roy died so soon after the release. They talked about playing some shows but never seriously. At one point they thought about chartering an aircraft carrier and moving it up the coasts and having concerts on the deck. The reality is there was no way Dylan and George were ver going to agree to US big concerts the way it would have been promoted. George had to be dragged by Clapton to Japan for some relatively modest shows a few years later where Clapton’s band did all the heavy lifting and George just showed up for all intents and purposes. Even then George and Clapton had a fight before the shows were over. Dylan wasn’t much different back then. The Wilburys could have played at the Dylan show at MSG in maybe 94? Petty Dylan George and Keltner were there. Not sure about Lynne but it should have happened there if nothing else - even without Roy.

Oh, man!
I never traveled far for a concert, but that would have been my first.

I saw Petty at Saratoga. I saw Dylan in Utica. I pine over never having seen Roy. I was too young to travel when The Beatles were here and they never came back when I was old enough.

What a group Lynn and Harrison put together with George being the main impetus.Have you ever seen the picture of all 5 of them posing in sunglasses like Roy never took off?

Hey, they used to do it with Vancouver both ways.

Obviously that was it. I was just curious if Fitz had something else up his sleeve and would need Halonen again and thus, the move would only be on paper as it had been as it was 2 days earlier.

Probably only in passing. There is a documentary about them on YouTube that is a good watch. Lots of candid behind the scenes stuff.

Seeing that Utica reassigned Jace Isley, Timur Ibragimov, and Filip Engaras to Adirondack must mean Halonen has rejoined the club, Stillman and Laberge are ready from whatever made them scratches (the Norovirus is eating up the Utica population), and I think Foote will still be here at least for Friday night.

If it's the virus maybe that explains Misyul missing the last last 3 games since 2/28. Vukojevic was out the last 2 games as well. I can't believe Felix plays ahead of either one of those 2. It is highly contagious so I hope precautions were taken to keep it away from as many guys as possible.

It takes anywhere from 3 to 6 days to recover. It kicks the piss out of you. I'm still not 100% and I came down with it on 2/24.

I have to say, having really only one forward that's still an NHL prospect (Halonen) on this team is depressing. I am not sure about Stillman, and it seems like Clarke if he gets a shot it will be somewhere else.

Period 1
Willman clean stripped crossing his own blue line and the onrushing Amerk shot it over the net and out of play.

MacKinnon raced past at the blueline and Wotherspoon couldn't get over fast enough, but Kallgren smothered the effort which was a rink length pass off the end boards. Really good plan off a faceoff win.

Clareke turnover leads to asn Amerks 2 on 1 and the shot goes off the post. Clarke cannot hold onto pucks when he is challenged by any opponent.

Criscuolo stooped on on the Comets 1st shot.

K a good stop. Another from the point with traffic.

Comets 2 on 1. Stevens lousy pass into Halonen's feet. He takes it towards the net front but a defender blocks his path so he centers it to attempt to get inside and the play ends up with no sog.

Kallgren another stop.

Rochester has owned this game thus far. Utica skating like they are asleep. Both teams played last night so that's not an issue. Comets won and Rochester lost to Syracuse.

Durandeau attempts a shot from the slot and it's deflected off a skate as he releases it.

Vuk falls down in the circle and the Amerk is picked up by an alert Engaras and he rises him to the back of the net.

Hatakka shot easy glove save.

Willman into the net front and the puck rolls off his stick.

Russo wrister stopped but the rebound is laying their. No Comets stick and
Levi finds it for a whistle.

Amerks 2 on 1 and they shoot it wide.

Comets allowing the Amerks to just pick up any loose puck in the Comets end while they watch.

Craziest kind of zone D I've ever seen.
Huge stop By Kallgren.
Then another through traffic.

Vilen a slot shot but he misses the net.

Durandeau tried a bank off the keeper but he missed the keeper and the shot went across the net front.

Puck is inthe left corner after icing is waved off. Hatakka slides it a few feet up the wall.
Russo whiffs on a cross ice pass out to f danger and the Amerk sends a pass top the top of the circle picked up by Biro and he rips a backhander as he crosses into the slot and from between the hashes he shoots it back to the Kallgren's right over his shoulder to the top of the net as he comes across the net to his left.
A nightmare kind of shot for a keeper as he can't change direction as he has to move to where the shot is coming from. Back against the grain very difficult for a moving keeper.

1-0 Amerks with 3:56 to go.

Stillman playing against his brother today.

Durandeau shoots it into the net front and it's deflected out of play.

Willman to the box for cross checking and he is livid. Goaded into this one.

That took 15 seconds.
Point shot into his golve, Kallgren dropped it and Murray on the doorstep just poked it back into the net. 18:04

Stillman from the inside of the right circle and he fires.
Levi snatched it in style.

A brilliant stop by Kallgren.

Comets have left him alone the entire period.

1st thankfully comes to an end.

Comets have been skating in mud when skating. Lots of standing around . No push in their starts so are immediately overrun by forechecking and backchecking Amerks.

I don't want to hear they must be tired with an afternoon start in the 3rd of a 3 in 3 weekend. Rochester who are all over them are also playing the 3rd of a 3 in 3. The Comets season becomes more and more on the line and they cannot afford to slack off because they are tired. That was a totally no effort period. Kallgren was not good on the 2nd goal as he dropped a shot that would have been a whistle, but he has also made stops on several stops on shots ticked for goals.

However, you simply can't drop long wristers straight into your glove. That goal nullified the stops that took away goals.

SOG illustrate just how the Cometrs were playing - 13 to 5 Amerks.

Stillman has a few large leaps and bounds before he can be considered an NHL possibility.

If people want to put the snub to Holtz, Clarke is guilty of the things people sell Holtz short on many times over and his shot has no comparison to Holtz's.

Not a lot of big time promising prospects on the horizon either unless Casey comes out after his current season. Filmon was here last season and he had a positive IQ, but did not shine in his skating or puck skills. He knew where to go and made himself available to get pucks on net.

2nd underway.

Comets 4 on 2
Halonen is too deep so he centers it back and Vilen's shot is an easy stop.

Comets are picking up the Amerks much better to start this period. Not leaving guys all alone to wreak havoc.

Levi snatches a Clarke shot with fancy style again. Good aty flashing the leather.

Levi another stop and he covers it with 2 Comets in front swinging away.

Win the draw and a slapper from the halfboards snatched again.

Kallgren stop. The Amerks have owned this shift.

Comets drive the crease and Levi kicks it out.

Parent shot deflects out.

3 on 2 Amerks shot goes wide across the net front.

Kallgren a big save on the Amerk's 1st shot of the period.

Engaras has been thrown out out a lot of faceoffs.

Comets up the ice. Laberge shoots from the slot on the rush
Hard shot pops up into the air over Levi.
It drops to the ice and it's there's a netfront scramble.

IT"S IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GAMBARDELLA pounds home the loose puck behind Levi!!!!!!!!!

Comets are alive.

2-1 Amerks

Kallgren a shot into the midsection and holds on.

Amerks to the sin bin.

Mersa 2 for tripping.

Willman a dumb shot from the half boards. had no promise and it was sent down the ice

Willman hits the crossbar on a much better choice for a shot.
They are reviewing it. Maybe the back bar?

NO Goal.

PP continues.

PP done.

Icing Amerks.

Of the draw. Comets get CComets win the draw. Vilen shoots.

G_O_A_L !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all tied up at 2-2
