100 assists is objectively harder to get than 69 goals.

2 players got 100 assists this year... how much harder is it?

"yes, but in the last X years, only X players have gotten 100 assists".

But this year 2 players got 100 assists... the gap between McDavid and Kuch was 0 assists.

The gap between Matthews and the next top goal scorer was 10+.

"The writers know better!"

I already know a ton of people are going to be upset.

I think the players respect goals a lot.

Would have had no issue with McDavid over Matthews.

It always has.

"I know more than the players"
When McDavid Won the Lindsey leaf fans said the Heart was more important then as expected--the Lindsey is more important

Care to quantify that?

From your personal experience of doing both, of course.

...how? If secondary assists didn't exist, sure.
Only 4 players have gotten 100 assists other than McDavid (Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr, Kucherov) for a total of 14 times (11 by Gretzky)

9 players have scored 69 goals other than Matthews (Gretzky, Lemieux, Esposito, Hull, Mogilny, Selanne, Nicholls, Kurri, Bossy) for a total of 17 occurances.
