I don't doubt that they liked Iginla, but I don't think Friedman would know for sure whether they'd take him over Yakemchuk if both were available.

Parekh has his warts, his team losing in the playoffs means nothing, the same way Yakemchuk's teams only having a single playoff game win in 3 years heading into this season meant nothing

No. Nobody even discusses the team success of prospects unless it is about how it impacts their production.

In fact I want the Calgary Hitmen to lose so we can see Yak in Belleville this season for a couple games. I’m over him as a WHL player.

Saying that, we did have the tweet, which is now deleted seeing that Seidel was being fed info, that tells us the Sens loved and were thinking of Beaudoin if Yak wasn't there.

Seidel at the time working as head scout and director of player personnel and beinf spoon fed known info directly from Marek, which Marek was canned for, definitely leads me to think there was a lot of merit behind the Sens liking Beaudoin comment.

Seidel knows his shit. He used to correctly live predict like the first 15 picks of each draft.
