Time to start tracking the prospects, Only one player has started playing and he is not really a prospect but he is on the list.
About 1/3 of those guys aren't prospects of the SensIsn't Jonny Tychonick not apart of our prospect list anymore?
Neither he nor Novak are, neither were offered contractsOf course, I agree 100%
Maybe I should have been more clear maybe, Isn't Jonny Tychonick not part of our organization anymore? I could be wrong obviously
And, as others have pointed out, Novak & Tychonick have no affiliation with the organization whatsoever and we have no rights to them. The rest of the list are in Europe (Abramov) or on 2-way deals, almost certainly to spend the bulk of the season in the AHL (Pilon, Heatherington, Chartier, Highmore, Larsson, Imama, Currie)For those who want to keep track, this is the list of AHL vets or non-Sens prospects from that EP list :
Vitali Abramov (LW/RW)
Garrett Pilon (C)
Dillon Heatherington (D)
Rourke Chartier (C)
Matthew Highmore (C/W)
Jacob Larsson (D)
Bokondji Imama (LW)
Jakov Novak (LW/C)
Jonny Tychonick (D)
Josh Currie (C)
Okay, so unlikely that this move was to make room for new contracts, yeah?45 counting Pinto & Sokolov.
I'm really excited to see him. I really like his game, even if i dont know if it will translate.Hoping Boucher can put together a good healthy stretch of games. Got to be hard being injured all the time.
No contract was traded, was just a formality because of the strange Covid holdovers for some NCAA guys creating rights issues.Okay, so unlikely that this move was to make room for new contracts, yeah?

Yup, they never expired when they were supposed to, 2022, because he was gifted another season in the NCAA that held his eligibility rights for an extra full year.Issue is the Laval Rocket (AHL) signed Novak to a 2023-24 AHL contract on July 3rd—before the Sens NHL draft rights for Novak were scheduled to expire on August 15th. Once that happened Ottawa’s NHL draft rights to Novak were extended indefinitely.
About that....Hoping Boucher can put together a good healthy stretch of games. Got to be hard being injured all the time.
