What the Preds do doesn't matter as far as the Kings first round match up goes. The Kings finish either third in the division or in the second wild card spot. The first wild card spot isn't a possibility for the Kings any longer. If the Kings pass the Preds in the standings, then the Kings finish third in the division since Vegas would be unable to pass the Kings.
