Problem is that this team does not have a roster that:

a) Thinks like that.
b) Can do anything about it even if they thought like that.

They did a year ago in a statement game against Edmonton where there were three fights and from my memory the Kings faired pretty well. I was at the game. But yeah, that turned out to be an anomaly. It was a far cry from the snoozefest I attended in Edmonton in March that same year.

Was the best game of last season. Danault fought a guy immediately after the guy hit Arvidsson hard. Durzi fought Hyman for Hyman's earlier hit on Byfield and then Lemieux fought Kostin--I think--which was just a message sending fight in the waning moments.

Then they played them in Edmonton while knowing there was a high probability of meeting in the first round. Let Anderson get concussed, did nothing about it, and got BTFO.

Then they played them again in LA less than a week later, did nothing about it again, lost, and got passed in the standings by them.

Oilers are struggling so I think the Kings will probably lose to avenge the bad drubbing the Edmonton squad took not so long ago

The trash can memes of Skinner all over X had me rolling after the Battle of Alberta. I hope we see more of the same from McPotato and the Oilers.

this is one of those games that has all the signs of it being a trap. Oilers are struggling, their practice today was very low energy. kings bounced back against the oilers recently. And now the oilers are looking to bounce back themselves. Kings can’t afford to play loose and wild. Need structure and forecheck. Any momentum early game gained by the oilers might wake them up.

Im trying to be hopeful that the low energy zombiefest vs. the Ducks the other night was the Kings looking past to the Oilers

But then I remember 40+ years of the Kings being Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown and I get the whiskey out

That was the only game I went to last year. Got the tickets for free through the birthday club, but even then I felt ripped off. Waste of time and money (parking).

That was the weirdest 50 shot game of all time. Felt like the teams played pretty even, but the shot clock sure told a different tale.

I'm an eternal optimist so hoping something similar happens tonight with both teams in a somewhat desperate position. Maybe the Kings need to send their tough guy Laferriere out there to do some damage lol! In hindsight it should've been a sign of things to come when Laferriere of all people did DuBois' bidding in the first game of the season.

Huge game so of course we'll lay an egg. But we're on the road so maybe we'll have a chance.

We need player that can can intimidate and beat the mortal hell out of evander kane.
I should have more respect for an above average nhl player- maybe we can lure dustin byfuglien out of retirement. He threw kanes street clothes into the shower in the winnipeg locker room
