The Kings were playing really well 5v5 but just can’t win the special teams battle with Edmonton. It’s the same thing most games against these guys.

The Kings even did a good job staying disciplined (unlike in the past vs EDM) and it doesn’t matter, they get their chance and it’s tied.

I don’t even know how to try and defend their PP, it feels like the Kings have mixed up strategies and personnel but nothing makes a difference, McD and Drai are to good.

Starts with demoralizing them by capitalizing on your chances. But kings can’t do that shit. 5-3? Lose the faceoff. 5-4? Overpass it.

And when you have guys like 80 and 22 who take undisciplined penalties and tend to make bad turnovers at inopportune moments, that is a big problem vs this team who you can outplay 90% of the game and lose on a penalty or a turnover

you good doughty?

yeah that's not enough contact to call back, don't waste it

This game just got really infuriating. Playing well enough throughout the game only to now be losing

This is why Blake needs to eat the silver bullet though. Look how much money were spending on forwards now, how much they’ll be spending next season. But seemingly they just do not have enough horsepower.

I’m not sure that the 12th forward decision really matters all that much. It’s six of one and a half-dozen of the other with all of these guys. The VA injury stings because it moves everyone up a spot, when in reality they needed VA and probably a trade deadline acquisition to make things better.

It’s just such a huge advantage to have 2 guys like they have, it’s challenging enough to stop them 5 on 5 (which the Kings have shown they can on occasion do) but you also have to play so disciplined.
