They need some veterans. Not everyone can be 20 on the team.Kempe will be 28 and Moore 29 when next season starts, and the Kings are years away from legit contention. If you can get good value, both should be available
That was sad. Somebody needs to send a still of her to aegFemale fan behind the Kings bench looks inconsolable. Paid top dollar to sit front row for this.
Hanging in to assets coming out of their prime through a rebuild so that they are 32-33 when you come out of your rebuild is not what smart teams do, so the Kings would likely keep them because they are not a smart organization. Are you crazy no fan within a 1000 Km's will show up then
Ongoing problem since the start of the Blake era. Creeped in on the Tkachuk/Doughty elbow but at least the Kings responded the next time they played. You’d hope they’d show some emotion and make things chippy. But it’s the typical meek response of rolling over and giving up.
This was said about Iafallo time and time again. And he just wasn't all that good to begin with. Now Sad to see Kopi's age really showing. His worst game of his career by a fair margin.Whenever Kopitar doesn't play well in a game or a season, it must be an injury.
The only thing I remember about Torchetti was he scratched Luc in his final season when the games didnt matter...The parallels to the 05-06 season continue.
Hiller is the new Torchetti.
Kopitar is around for 2 more years after this, Doughty isn't going anywhere, Danault, Fiala, etc. There are veteransThey need some veterans. Not everyone can be 20 on the team.
Spence was arguably our best defenseman tonight. Maybe we should trade Doughty, re-sign Roy, and play Clarke and Spence.I dont know why anyone expects a coaching change to have instant results.. they still have same overuse of Kopi and DD, and lettting a difference maker in Clarke sitting in the pressbox.. These guys dont have any fresh ideas...And now that the cinderella goalies are coming back to earth, Blake is even further exposed for building a half assed roster.
Something people need to consider, Gavrikov only has one more year after this and might want to move on if this turns into a rebuildSpence was arguably our best defenseman tonight. Maybe we should trade Doughty, re-sign Roy, and play Clarke and Spence.
Gavrikov - Clarke
Anderson - Spence
Englund - Roy
This mostly matches the eye test. Not sure what Dubois did to get a relatively high devensive score but the rest makes sense. Turcotte, Byfield, and Laferriere all looked pretty good.
