Another point I'll bring up. There have been a lot of discussions and criticisms of PLD, his wingers, etc. I want to cite Fiala's goal - yes, he's a superior skilled player compared to Laferriere, Kaliyev, Grundstrom, etc. But Danault just makes the smart, hard-effort plays that sets up his linemates for success and makes them better players.
Even if PLD wasn't scoring, if he was creating chances like that for his linemates more consistently, there would be a lot less criticism about him, too.
Those are the expectations of a one-dimensional center making as much as he is. Make your players better, give them opportunities to score.
