People really underestimated Vilardi's skillset when they pretend like Dubois is a far superior player.
6 points in 9 games for him so far. Not to mention Iafallo's defensive depth and his 13 points (which, for those not keeping track, is also more than Dubois 12 points in 26 games so far).
I couldn’t be this bad at my job getting paid 1 million, to say nothing of 8.5.
No one underestimates his skill, only the brittleness of his body.

1 goal and 2 assists in the last 10 will get you that, especially when you're on a fresh $8.5M contract

When people act like it was a fair trade and that Dubois provides "much needed depth", they were underestimating him.
Especially since they also pointed out how PLD has multiple 60-point seasons and Vilardi had none.
Not saying you in particular, but plenty underestimated it.

Here’s the thing too, let’s say that Vilardi is injured once a season, he will still at worst match Dubois in production. Trading Vilardi is the biggest mistake of this franchise especially for someone like PLD

Yes Grundy Lizo and Lewis make for a very solid 4th line. The 3rd line was this years spare parts line. But now we have two spare parts lines... and JAD.. just like playing Walker last year, the kid has no future here, why not slot in Fageme or Turcotte (when he was still viable, or Thomas). So many other options than JAD who we know is JAG

Talbot looks off tonight. I don't know if the games played is tolling on him or if he's out of rhythm due to the team not playing every other night. No Gavrikov is having an effect on the back end. He has that physical presence that matches well against the Jets big size. Offensively, Kings just need to get back to basics and work hard for the 3rd period. They are a top 3 scoring team, but they still need to learn to grind out some close wins with some gritty goals. I'm not sure what it is, but the Kings look like they didn't game plan well for the Jets rush/counter-attack plays.

Wonder what happened that made him dislike his former teammates so much. The organization and management sure but he seems to really dislike the players too.

Remember how Dubois was roasted for that youtube clip of his last shift in Columbus?
We see that exact same shift at least once per period. There is so little compete in his game, one and done all night long, every night.
Dubois sucks. Haven't said that about a Kings player in at least 15 years. But Dubois? He sucks.
Who knows? He should have been glad he got drafted at all with the back problems.

Maybe Vilardi is actually an asshole. I like him and mad he's gone, but seems like a dour kinda angry dude.. i dont like that about him

Vilardi actually has had a pretty tool attitude about it ever since it went down. I liked him when he was here, but he has been kind of a little bitch about it ever since. The third would be a perfect time for the Kings to make their rebuttal.
