Honestly mate, it hurts, but my feel here is that it's about pathways and opportunities. When you're in a system with so much depth and quality, the chances of making it all the way to the top is difficult.

But that's where character rises to the top. If you stay and want to battle with the best to be the the best, it's a testament to that fighting spirit we are synonymous with.

Really, it's a very harsh, but great measure of who and what we want and need, and it ALL stems from character, resilience, staying power, fight.

I rated Prosvetov right up there, BUT, Annunen literally lit it up at the end last season. Georgiev had more wins during the season than anyone else. We've drafted Nabokov. We have other options as well.

We now have the epitome of resilience in Francouz helping with development and pathways now. I actually expect an uptick in performance in net all round. Expectations would be sky high, so would the pressure, and completion for spots.

Some will be strong enough to tough it out. Others prefer the easy route (possibly not the most successful either)..Out of those two, I know who I'd prefer in our pathway, and system.

This will always happen when you have such depth, strength, completion and culture throughout the organisation!
