Post-game Note: KC skaters were gripping their sticks so tightly tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if the Hertz Arena Zamboni was clogged with carbon fibers.[That joke was a LOT funnier back in my wooden stick/sawdust days.] They must've shot wide 3 times as often as their official 18 SOGs. Looking like it's gonna be a mighty silent bus ride back to Western Missouri on Sunday.

ETA: The Game 4 recap is linked in THIS POST.

Looks like some of the moved the Everblades made in the second half will be enough to get it done.

They had a solid core anyway..

The Florida PbP guy mentioned that KC has zero veterans on their roster. That might be glaring in their response to a much more experienced Everblades squad.

Yes - something they may rectify for next year. Great year... Not sure what is next for Lafontaine.

Has Cam Johnson decided being an everblade is best for him? Getting late now to make any move but not impossible.

Do you think he's considering hopping on the transatlantic train with the growing number of ECHL players headed to Europe?

Crossed my mind he would want to get a few bigger paycheques.. there are lesser kickers doing it in Europe. But he may well be happy to live and work in Florida.

The Mavericks are gonna need to pull a HUGE rabbit outta their helmets tonight 🐰, if they still hope to extend the championship series. Jeremy McKenna and his fellow skaters must get a LOT more shots on goal (vs, shooting wide & hoping the puck will ricochet off the end boards to a teammate). The team's power play units must score far more often than their 18.6% playoffs stat (which will also require the whole team working to draw penalties on the Everblades who will be gunning for anything dressed in black & orange). And Jack LaFontaine must bring his game back up to a level of focus that won't have Mavs fans back home chanting: "WE WANT CALE! WE WANT CALE!" during tonight's Game #5 ...⌛

David Cotton opens the scoring in the last minute of the 1st. 1-0 visitors.

End of one period, KC up 1-0. SOGs 14-9 in their favor, otherwise looked like even play to me.

Chippy Factor multiplying on every shift. Cooler heads will win this battle.

Florida headed to their first power play of this game, less than 2 mins left in the 2nd.

End of the middle frame, KC leads 3-1. Blades will have a brief advantage to open Period 3. Linesmen scrambled after the horn to break up a lively conversation down ice.

According to a large majority of the Florida fans, at least one of the referees inhales vigorously. They are being rewarded for their insight by another Blades PP.
