Okay, Hvidston will reenter the draft on Jun 1st haha. ( here is where someone comes in and points out I am wrong about him also)21 year old Europeans can if they haven't played a NA season, but Sundsvik is 22 and turning 23 next month

Just throwing this out there, Hvidston, King, and Sundsvik all go back into the draft if they are not signed by Jun 1st.
Have to assume Hvidston gets signed even after a disappointing year this year. He seems like the perfect "role player" forward PV is trying to grow a pipeline of.

Our goalies are litClara wins again stopping 21-22 shots. Misses a shutout by 33 seconds. Now 3-0 and 1.00 GAA in the playoffs.
Disappointing based on my expectations and how he started.I don't know what you mean by disappointment? Hvidston had a great start until he got injured, a 1.57 ppg rate! He's been injured a couple more times this season. And then once he got hot, the team traded for Conor Geekie to be it's 1C when Hvidston was its 1C.

Although the pts/game isn't a huge jump, his goal scoring has.

When we drafted Hvidston in the 5th round of the 2022 draft, he was a shutdown LW. Now, he's been playing center and improved his FO% greatly this year.
Hvidston could eventually be one of those players who upgrade the bottom-6 and on the PK.
Disappointing based on my expectations and how he started.
Not saying he should be written off or anything.
Not to mention that going from an all around 1C to a shut down 2C shows versatility. If he can be a 2-way, all around 3rd liner, that's a massive win from a 5th rounder. He can go to San Diego next season since he turns 20 in September, right?I agree with the disappointment after such a hot start (1.57 ppg). The reason the production dropped was due to injuries. Injuries take people out of their groove and it takes some time to get back into the groove (why does Madonna pop into my head right now?). And when Hvidston finally sees that groove again, the team trades for Conor Geekie. Hvidston gets displaced from the top line to the 2nd line. It feels like a majority of Hvidston's points come from the PP or an empty net goal/assist since Geekie was acquired.
IMO, Hvidston's role change from do everything 1C to shutdown 2C after Geekie was acquired. If Hvid the Kid can score 31 goals for this season, then he'd tie Gaucher's high in the CHL. Not bad for a 5th round pick. And he doesn't turn 20 until Sept!

Guess what. Sidorov hits #50 with 30 seconds left in the regular season.
