on skates! The 6'1" thing has to be a running joke somewhere.

We joke, but honestly this is probably how some places or teams fudge their numbers a bit. They measure someone on skates and "know" that a pair of skates adds X inches to height but that number is outdated/ invented/unverified and underestimates the real impact. And then they round up.on skates!
Just use metric inches. We joke, but honestly this is probably how some places or teams fudge their numbers a bit. kudos to everyone who watched all those games last year without abandoning the teamProbably the best time to join. You missed all the earlier trauma and last year was probably the total bottom. The Sharks are starting to climb out of the pit. They will still be last, but not as bad as last year. Next year will be better. Still probably bottom 3, but maybe bottom 5 depending on who they are able to add to the team. My favorite Selanne play was when he hit Pronger in the Olympics.
Nah. We're all just dead inside.kudos to everyone who watched all those games last year without abandoning the team

I'd be amazed if Pavs was a hair over 5'10".
Perhaps he's wearing the lifted golf spikesI’ve stood next to him a couple of times at the golf tournament. He’s the same height as me and I’m 5’10”
He was actually 3 monkeys and a bulldog in a tench coat.Perhaps he's wearing the lifted golf spikes
lets be real here. they arent NHL level guys. Both are small complimentary wingers who lack the offensive abilities to be top 6/9 guys in the NHL, the size and defence know how to be bottom 6 guys and most importantly, cant crack possibly the worst roster in the NHL and have been passed by other guys. Both have places in the NHL, despite Hodges’s insistence they’re both not, and neither is ready to just move on from opportunities.
Also being a little generous with "can produce in the AHL"These are the guys every team has tons of, but theyre the first two the sharks have had in a while who are true not NHL guys but can produce in the AHL, which leads to some clouded judgement.
I think those guys have a niche that could succeed on the right NHL team but they're probably not going to prove that here. I expect them to not be QO'd and be allowed to see what's out there for them. I think some team will give them an NHL contract. We will probably have developing talent squeeze them out at this stage even if I'd like to keep Gushchin just because he's their 2nd leading goal scorer. He and Poturalski are a big reason why that team is playoff competitive.lets be real here. they arent NHL level guys. Lots of people watch Shark games for the sole reason to get drunk. They don't care about the product on ice, and if they did, the team just gave them a reason to drink even more.kudos to everyone who watched all those games last year without abandoning the team

yea but everyone knew that going in besides Grier apparentlySo just an interesting note:
The player in the roster to show the kids the right way to play, defensive responsibility, and that there is more to than the game than scoring - Barclay Goodrow is 4th in the NHL for worst plus/minus.
Amazing effort to achieve this whilst playing less than 14 minutes per game and missing 5 or so games with injury.
I suspect he's given up on the rehab and has accepted that he's done. No one would trade for him and we have zero reason to buy him out (in my opinion).Wonder if Logan is moving on from the Sharks this off season. Someone on Reddit noted that he’s unfollowed the Sharks and removed any photos of him as a Shark from social media.
I wouldn’t be upset, this young team needs a Captain going forward
Strong buyout candidate. lolSo just an interesting note:

Sharks don’t really need the space. Feel like it would be better to just waive him and let him play in the AHL.Strong buyout candidate. lol
There is nothing to do with Couture other than give the C to Celebrini. A contract his large is absolutely insured so they are not paying the salary. So since he won’t play He can help get to the cap and in the extremely unlikely situation they need the cap space they can put him on LTIR.Sharks don’t really need the space. Think you quoted the wrong person. I was talking about Goodrow. Couture yep 100% agree with everything you say. There is nothing to do with Couture other than give the C to Celebrini. It's about getting rid of someone who didn't want to be here in the first place playing like he doesn't want to be here. I don't see how he would help the Barracuda either. We already have a bunch of guys that we'll be bringing in to play and develop as rookies there. I'd be alright trading him for some overpriced blue liner or goalie but otherwise a buyout is perfectly acceptable alternative to use for Goodrow.Sharks don’t really need the space. Yes that was a mistake. I do agree with you that there is no need to buy out. Just waive him if the space is needed. I also don’t see a problem with him as the 13th or 14th forward who is in the locker room but doesn’t play more than a handful of games.Think you quoted the wrong person. I was talking about Goodrow. I mean I think the issue there is we do still need to get to the cap floor. So would you rather Goodrow with 2 years on his contract at 3.5 or whatever it is or basically Goodrow on a more expensive longer contract in FA? Teams aren’t really going to be paying to dump guys this offseason since the cap is going up so much. It's about getting rid of someone who didn't want to be here in the first place playing like he doesn't want to be here.
