What makes him unplayable in the nhl?For good reason. He's 21 years old and unplayable in the NHL. I have zero interest in trading significant assets for Adam Boqvist 2.0.

Doesn't create nearly enough offense to compensate for being a huge defensive liability. Devils currently have Seamus Casey playing in the NHL over him so it's not a case of a coach blindly favoring veterans either. What makes him unplayable in the nhl?

Regression with a new (worse) coach isn't a reason to write him off. Played 20 mins a night last year in 60 games and looked solid for a 19 year old. New coach coupled with bad situation and struggling now. Asking price will likely be more reasonable now after this mess of a season and how NJD continues to be a puzzling and underachieving squad/organization with inept management.Doesn't create nearly enough offense to compensate for being a huge defensive liability. New Jersey is fourth in the Eastern Conference and a few points away from being second. Hard to see how they are underachieving.Regression with a new (worse) coach isn't a reason to write him off. I really dont see a major value in adding more unproven 20 or 21 year olds. If the asking price is crazy low, then sure, take a swing and if it fails, it fails. But right now, the priority for Grier has to be adding proven NHL Blueline talent that is 27/28 or younger. Dobson types, not so much Nemec Types.Regression with a new (worse) coach isn't a reason to write him off. Played 20 mins a night last year in 60 games and looked solid for a 19 year old.
